I've finally narrowed in on an SLR: my heart is set on a Canon Rebel T2i!

Why do you care? I've added more clothes to my closet in an effort to save up for the pricey but lovely camera! Shoot me an email with what you want {or make your best offer}... it's that easy!

I'm resorting to using K. Wiig GIFs to get my point across...

Any bloggers out there with advice in buying an SLR? I'd love your suggestions!

  2. Yup, I feel like that too hahahah. I need some cash.

  3. haha, loved the gif! hope you have luck rasing money for the camera! :)

  4. Since DSLRs are pricey, be very sure that a Canon is really what you want.

And experiment like crazy! It's how you understand and get the most out of your camera. I STILL don't even know all the things my
Nikon can do, but it's a learning process - and it's fun.

    Good luck!

  5. First of all, that movie is HILARIOUS!!!! You'll get your camera soon enough, I know it.

  6. Thanks so much for your sweet comment! Glad you found me!

As for basic DSLRs, I honestly think you'll have good results with either a Canon or a Nikon. The main thing is learning how to meter correctly and get the right lighting for your pictures! A great second investment would be a fixed lens (like a 50mm). This will give you great depth of field possibilities, and that delicious bokeh effect (where things are really blurry in the background, or the whole image is blurry but still discernible).

    Okay, I'll shut up now.

  7. That movie is sooooooo funny.
    K. Wiig is major.

Hope you get the money you want.

  8. I love this movie !

I agree with what Victoria|vmac+cheese said. As well as, make sure you find one you love, do your research and know its going to give you the photos you want. I like to do my research through other blogs. If I find a blog I love and the photos are amazing, I try and find out what camera they're using and the lense. If you don't have someone to always take your photos, a tripod and remote will also come in handy :)

  9. unfortunately i don't have any suggestions for you, but had to let you know the GIF caused me to chuckle. Cute movie :)
