Not only is October the month of my most favorite holiday (Halloween) but it also graces us with new albums from both Taylor Swift and Ellie Goulding. Are we the luckiest humans, or what?
But really, do you? This one goes out to my mom, who managed to raise a (somewhat) functional, responsible daughter.
Love you, lady.
PS. If you haven't seen the preview for season two of GIRLS, you can watch it here. As much as I hate to admit it, this show captures most of what I and my twenty-something friends deal with on a daily basis.
Except for the whole, I-live-in-Europe thing.
I'd be lying if I didn't admit to scrolling through endless quotes and GIFs when everyone is annoying. Despite her constant need to be naked, Lena Dunham gets me.
Inspired by the ThoughtCatalog's list of life's little pleasures, I came up with a few other things that leave me a perma-grin for the rest of the day.
Surprise text messages.
Half-priced wine day.
Seeing the Eiffel Tower sparkle as your walk into your room.
Goodbye kisses.
Most importantly (because I am a 12-year old girl at heart) is the first time you listen to a new Taylor Swift song, before you fall so deeply in love that you put it on instant replay. By the end of the day, Red will have fought it's way into my iTunes 25 Most Played. Ever.
