real talk: i think karl is an 80s baby.

Chanel's runway show for the spring/summer 2017 collection just showed this morning in Paris and it's already confusing me. This season's theme, Data Center Chanel, should instead be called "Back to the Future, because all I can think of is my high-school obsession with Daft Punk. 

The collection was filled with separates in tweed, some lacy hems and a lazerbeam print that cringingly reminds me of the terrible school photo backgrounds that I begged my mom for, year after year. 

Karl isn't a like, a regular designer, he's a cool designer and decider to even free the nipple, because he's down with the kids.

I'm not sure what this is all about but I'm pretty sure it has something to do with his friendship with the Kardashians, our ever-expanding obsession with the digital universe and an overwhelming desire to get naked on the internet. Humans  Millennials love scandal. With the overwhelming power of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and other digital platforms, Karl has taken to updating the vision of Chanel, mocking our constant need to be connected.
